Hello!
« on: Sun, 31 January 2016, 16:25:20 »
Hey guys! I've had a mechanical keyboard for a few years (Razer Blackwidow), but just recently started taking keyboards more seriously. Here's a picture of my current KBP V60 with browns.

I've been lurking around here for about a week and decided that I'm enjoying the hobby enough to explore it further. Let's hope that my wallet doesn't suffer too much . Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing you all around!  :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!

Nice layout, I like how the red stripe splits the board in two :)

Is the position of the two sets of 4 blue keys significant somehow?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Honestly, I wish I could claim that they were, but they aren't :)). I liked the color combination of red and blue, but the only blue keys I had were 4 for row 4 and 4 for row 1. This is the only layout I could make that didn't look terrible...  ;D

Then you have done well with what you have :)
