Unique keycaps...
« on: Thu, 11 February 2016, 21:06:48 »
I am trying to find a keycap set, unfortunately some of the keycaps on my G710+ have broken and instead of just obtaining some OEM caps, I thought to search for something more... Unique...

What I am looking for are 'normal' black/translucent PBT DoubleShot caps with ninja/front side legends added on... I have searched every site that I can find, but it seems to be something nobody offers. Can anybody suggest any places that I might be able to get such a thing from. Especially for a reasonable price, I am currently fighting cancer and kidney failure, and as such, my budget is less than optimal, but I am working on my 'Dream Rig', and I would like to get everything finished before my condition worsens.

I do thank you all for your time and effort!

I don't think the caps you want exist.

That is mostly what I was expecting, but hoped that some intrepid keycap master might have something of a solution for me. :-)

Welcome to Geekhack!

Front-printed transparent legends on PBT keycaps?

I do not recall seeing anything even close, unfortunately :(
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
