It looks like the hole is stripped if the screw is intact. That really isn't good.Are you sure the screws are the proper ones?

If they are then they could be stripped because the screws should be the same.

Try to bring it to your local hardware storepretty sure they've the correct screws for you,if it fits, at first don't screw it all the way down to see how long you need and you can cut it after to adjust
Try a #5 screw 22mm or 7/8" in length and a 1/4" head.Epzy asked me once what the measurements for these screws were and that's what I sent him.He hasn't replied back with an angry PM so there's a chance that those are the correct measurements.But you should probably wait for skcheng to give you what he finds.
IIRC, these are either M2.5 or M3.0 screwsDo not purchase American standard measurements screws.
