Modded my Choco mini

I recently traded keyboards over craigslist (traded a AULA wings of liberty, brand new, for a used Choco Mini). I wanted Cherry MX Black switches. Never tried them before.
Long story short, not a huge fan of black switches. Blues are still a favorite of mine.
Anyway, i had some Cherry browns laying around from an ergodox build and decided to mod the choco mini as a CS:GO gaming KB.
Desoldered the blacks and soldered browns where i press the most for Counter Strike.
W, A, S, D, Shift and CTRL
I have tested it and the keys work. Now i just gotta practice gaming. Gotta make the MLG sometime.......

Cool! I like the choc mini. At least you know you're not really a linear fan now. Neither am I really but I do happen to be typing on a Quickfire rapid with Gateron Blacks at the moment. Or is it just that they're too heavy?

If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

That plastic keypuller they include with some boards is terrible.  A wire  puller with long wires is a sound investment, not that it actually costs much.  But it works well on the larger stabilized keys.  You just move the wires to catch the opposite corners of the key and pull.  That plastic one  lasted about 10 keys before it broke.

The heavyness does not bother me. But getting no feedback is not cool, ha-ha. I love browns, blues and greens, really want to try clears.

The Choco Mini looks like it is plate mounted. Is it plate mounted? Nice  :)

You will probably like clears. When I've let non-keyboard people try my cherry keyboards they almost unanimously choose clears. The ones who are actually interested varies a bit more. (Usually Blue ALPS or clears) ErgoClears are my personal favorite cherry switch too which happens to be what I am typing on right now LOL!

Not sure. I know people used to put MX black springs in them and called them panda clears but I believe the black spring is actually lighter at least at the bottom out. (I'm sure someone will correct this if it's wrong pretty quick)
