Lubing Cherry ML Switches?
« on: Fri, 13 May 2016, 09:33:26 »
Looking to try one of these and want to lube the switches as I heard it improved the feel. Has anyone ever lubed these? does it require desoldering and opening the switches, like mx boards? thanks!

ML are PCB-mounted, thus can be opened without desoldering, but you have to be careful, while doing so.

Points, that should be lubed, are showed in this picture.

I highly recommend this guide above. I've done 2 keyboards with this method, straight GPL105 (springs, inside stems) and GPL205 (sliders) on my 62g Ergoclear and GPL105(springs/stems), GPL105/205(sliders) on my 65g Ergoclear.
