How do these compare to Logitech mice?
I've got G700s at home and a G502 at work.
I'm not very happy with the G502.
What don't you like about the 502?
Personally, I'm just not a fan of the shape. It has a great sensor, though.
Mionix mice are solid. They use quality sensors and they feel good in the hand. It's just about picking the one that has the right shape for you, really.
My biggest gripe with the 502 is the tracking is all over the place, I have to run the surface adjustment like once a week and the scroll wheel will scroll in and out on its own sometimes (this is in autocad so its a major pain).
Interesting. I know early on there were some weird tracking issues with the 502, but I thought they were resolved with software/firmware updates. I didn't keep mine long enough to find out, though.
And about the mousewheel, does it happen with both mwheel toggles? The more sensitive one was giving me grief, too. Even just resting my hand on the mouse could cause scrolling, but toggling to the "click" mode fixed it. If that's not the problem, then I don't know. Sorry =/
edit: some replies while I was typing, oops. Maybe try one of the default surface modes, instead of the calibration? I've never had much luck with those calibrations myself.
Could just be a bad mouse, though. Again, I didn't keep mine long enough to find out. The shape and weight were just too much for me.
Anyways, I've liked the Mionix mice I've tried. At these prices, they are definitely worth giving them a shot. If I didn't already have an Avior, I would buy one for sure.
