Hey everyone, since i'm already a fan of the entire TheVan44 project i talked to /u/evangs a little and then decided to write a homepage that let's everyone make their dream-layout come true without having to deal with TMK and compilers and stuff.

You basically just have to visit the website, maybe read the little text below the layers, set everything up how you like it and press the "Make .hex!" button and the server compiles everything and gives you the .hex file after 4-5 seconds!

I`ll leave the link right here: http://van.mgauck.de/

Unfortunately i do not have my Van yet so i cant test the .hex files myself yet but evan (or one of you if you're faster than him ;)) is going to test it out. If you're using it please give me feedback if you encounter any issues or bugs or even if you have ideas!

It's not really finished yet (want to make the FN-macro keys next) but this version should work consistently and i decided to unleash it!

If you screw something up, you get a white error page with a small description of the error - if you just use your back button in the browser your layout is still there and you dont have to do everything again!

sorry for the wall of text but thats kind of crucial information - i hope you test it out and i hope you can give me feedback! thanks a lot!

Thanks for putting this together! Made it super easy to get a basic hex file to test with after putting the board together.

Nice idea: Few questions:

- how insecure is this? Are you just injecting the values into the code then compiling? If so, you may want to sanitise your input
- put the layout in the shape of a keyboard - think http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/

Update: Take a look at this for ideas:
