Phonetics
« on: Mon, 17 October 2016, 13:41:00 »
So I've always found it interesting how people pronounce and say things differently. The other night I was hanging out with a friend and we were referencing another username when I realized that we had two completely different ideas of how it sounds. This made me wonder how many usernames I might be interpreting or saying wrong.

So here is my question to you, how do you pronounce your username?

Here's mine:

I thought there was a thread like this, but maybe not. Turns out people mispronounce my username and I thought it was pretty easy: "rome-vee." Two syllables.
I guess the majority pronounce it with three syllables--"rome-uh-vee"--but I've never pronounced it that way.

In my head I always read "HHKB" as "hkh-uh-bee."
