Fact is it's made by matias, and their boards are usually good. the 508 is just a half board with a traditional layout.

There have been a few one-handed keyboard projects on Geekhack and Deskthority.

I put a one-handed layout on the left side of my ErgoDox just because I could. Not that I ever use it though...

I actually want something to replace my Trackball (on the left side of my desk), but I have yet to find it.  ^-^

There is no way anyone can justify that price. I can't do ergonomic so I couldn't tell you how good an idea the actual keyboard is, but that price is just bull****, absolutely inexcusable.

Looking at the current /r/mm prices you can even get two if your timing is good.

I think this can be a brilliant idea, especially for people that have certain ergonomic requirements.
And flipping half the keyboard is surprisingly intuitive. Go ahead and try it in your mind.

And price... well, it's pretty much the only one that offers this and since this probably doesn't sell huge numbers you have a smaller base to spread your R&D costs.

As for copying it, that would be a pretty ****ty thing to do.
