Its my first experience with Cherry stabs, and I'm not sure why they don't fit properly.  The bottom "hooks" in, but the top doesnt really "catch" the plate like it appears it should.  I posted a pic below,  does it look like my stabilizer hole is too big?  I used a stab hole that is supposed to support cherry and costar stabs.

I'm looking at pics of other people's plates, and it looks like my upper notch is much larger than other people's.  Perhaps I didn't account for enough kerf in my design?

If it was kerf all your switches would be loose too so it's not that, unless the stab holes were cut later...

Can you link the cutout you used so someone who knows how big they should be could confirm it is right (or more likely not as it doesn't fit :()

Looks like cherry / costar cutouts and if that's the case they don't really clip in. So hot glue or not caring are the options.

I'll try to find the Svg file.  I just used Swill's builder tool, so they should be pretty standard

That's fairly reassuring.  Do you think costar stabs would be a little more secure?

I have costar on my space bar on my 40% with no real problems but i felt the need to glue in the cherry stabs i was using on the rest of the board. If you have some its worth a shot if you don't like the idea of hot gluing them in. After I found that out i stopped doing cherry / costar cutouts on plates I order

I too had this problem with a laser-cut acrylic plate, where I had not adjusted for kerf. Switches fit well, stabilisers were loose and had to be glued in.
