IS the type heaven uniform across the whole board? I don't consider myself OCD but I would sure as heck notice that even just typing. Not that I am in any rush to get rid of my lovely K65! *hugs Corsair K65*

I thought I'd notice it, too. I was seriously surprised that I didn't... at all. If you tried one, you'd see what I mean.

The Type Heaven is uniform weighted. However, as mentioned, the way the ABS key caps affect the sound and feel is a real deal breaker for a lot of people. Further, the Type Heaven is also heavier than MX Browns, which are themselves heavier than MX Reds. So, if you like the weight of MX Reds, the 55g weighted domes in the Type Heaven are a couple of notches above that.

Hmmm, good point. I haven't used Browns in a while and never in a long term typing context....

I bought a typeheaven on eBay. My first impressions is that it's just a worse realforce. They feel about the same switch wise. I don't notice a huge difference between the keys on the typeheaven and the realforce. The keycaps are awful. They don't sound that terrible, not the worst sound, but not as nice as the pbt caps, but they're sandpaper. They are very rough, some of the roughest I've ever used. If I swapped the caps on a realforce on, it's probably feel almost identical but at that point you've already exceed the price of the realforce. If you want a full size Topre board, get the 104u.

Hmm I am actually not too picky about key feeling but sandpaper doesn't sound pleasant either.

I keep being tempted to get a HHKB again and just go for a pro model this time. (I previously had a HHKB Lite2, yes i know rubberdomes, but it had a 30 day return period so I wanted to get it for the layout and now I love it but at the same time I DO like having the rest of the keys)

I can't decide on HHKB layout or to go back to full 104 keys.... (TKL w/ arrow keys & FN right now)

If you like the 45g weighting of the HHKB but are leaning toward a TKL, consider the Realforce 87U All-45g "EK Edition".

If you're deciding between the type heaven and a realforce. I think the realforce is worth the extra like $50? The caps are miles better.

Many thanks to both, really helpful  :)
