Hey There. Included Keyboard Pictures
« on: Sun, 29 January 2017, 00:24:41 »
Hey there, I'm a new member here, but have lurked for a while. I live in the Raleigh area, and I am currently in the IT field. In my free time, I'm a developer, and I primarily work with Android and web development. Now if there's anything more you'd like to know beyond that, I'd love to chat with you, but I figure I wouldn't bore you much longer with long intros, and I'll give you some pictures to look at.

First up. This is my Ducky One TKL RGB:
  • I added black keycaps from Ducky's doubleshot ABS keycap set. I saw the Penumbra keycaps on a Filco board, and it set off some thoughts in my head.
  • Cherry MX Browns
  • Nothing else too exciting going on with it...

Next up is the keyboard I call Gengar due to its black and purple theme. This keyboard gets by far the most use from me as it travels with me to and from work, and is what I type on during the day. I'm pretty much certain this is my favorite possession...
  • Mechanical Keyboards Disco TKL
  • KBT Brown switches (For now. As you can see below, there is a bag of Zealios 67G that are going to be installed soon)
  • Ducky PBT Sideprinted keycaps. I love these things. If I wasn't so curious to try SA profile keycaps, I don't think I'd really have a strong desire to seek out new caps.

I love my keyboards, and I love the TKL format, but as a former Ducky Mini owner, I am itching to build myself a 60%.

Also, don't know if anyone is in to mice here, but I must say the Ducky Secret mouse that you see in the pictures, is quite nice, and is definitely the end game mouse for me as I haven't looked at mice since buying 2 of them (1 for work and 1 for home) as well as the Ducky Secret M mouse just to try the smaller form factor. PBT shell, nice shape, and came with large mouse pads. Can't beat that!

Thanks for welcoming me into the community Geekhack!

Welcome :D

Once you go below TKL, I think its hard to go back. Every keyboard I look at now, just looks like a giant waste of space. I am on the hunt for a nice numpad though lol. Is the Disco TKL RGB?

Hey there,

I definitely had a hard time going back to TKL after using a 60% for a while; however, I find I actually prefer the TKL aesthetic strangely enough (especially with a nice set of SA keycaps). Who knows, maybe hanging around here for a while will convert me back?

No idea what you're looking to spend, but Ducky has their "Pocket" numpad coming out soon that doubles as a mechanical calculator. The whole idea of it cracked me up, but I'm tempted to pick one up just for giggles.  And you are correct, the Disco is RGB.

Hey there, remembered you when I saw this. The Ducky Pocket is on Massdrop. Don't know if you regularly check, but it's looking like a pretty sweet deal.
