C/P from my reddit post found here(https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/5u7qfv/idea23_resin_casting_service_and_dye_sub_heat/)

Resin Casting Service

Are you artistic? Have you thought about making artisan keycaps? need help?

I have made a lot of things in the last year, but I have to admit I can't do it all. Idea23 is currently looking for people that know how to sculpt and would like to see their art turned into some awesome resin cast caps.

[Samples of our work](http://imgur.com/a/tqDbX)

How it would work.

1.You sculpt a keycap, we recommend [Apoxie Sculpt](https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_rsis_1_5?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=apoxie+sculpt&sprefix=apoxi%2Caps%2C137), I have some [extra caps and apoxie](http://imgur.com/a/EPMGW) that I can provide for a couple of you guys.

2.Show us your creation, if we approve I will pay for shipping.

3.We make molds of your cap and cast a batch.(you will get the first cap made)

4.Sale goes up, % of sales from all all caps using your design will be paid to you.

Dye Sub heat press update

Good news: I tested using apoxie sculpt around a heating element, [results](http://imgur.com/a/F8qRk). While it worked better that my previous attempts the apoxie was not fully dried when I heated it and it crumbled a bit on the outside. The next one will use high heat epoxy or silicone.

Bad news: I am still waiting for the parts I will need to add a timer and temp readout. Due to the high demand for our resin cast caps this project has been put on hold. I put all my spare cash into increasing the production of resin cast caps, [these are some of the new caps](http://imgur.com/a/tqDbX).

But what if I want to dye sub my own caps now?!?!

I have enough parts to make at least 4 simple heat presses. If 4 people want to throw money at this, send me a pm. These 4 will cost more than the group buy price but will be shipped around march 13th, The group buy will be some time in late march and will take 2-3 months to ship. The extra is money from these is going towards materials and testing since the final design is not complete. It will also allow me to buy multiple types of materials and try multiple designs for the frames. Why would you throw money at something thats not completed yet? Even without the not completed parts, I have used the heating element to make 40+ keycaps, I will be including a printout of up to 20 images of your selection, printed at least 5 times each. So for 80 bucks(+ the cost of blank caps) you could make 80+ dye sub caps.[Link to printer I use](http://www.ebay.com/itm/Epson-WF-2630-Sublimation-Printer-Bundle-With-CISS-with-sublimation-ink-Blanks-/301566328660?hash=item4636c0ff54:g:rvUAAOSwo4pYJ0x4)

Cost:

80 each (US only for now this includes shipping)

What you get:

Simple heat press

1 heating element for 1u caps in either DSA,SA R3, OEM, or Cherry profile,[like the weird thing with wires coming out of it in this pic](http://imgur.com/a/EPMGW), but it will have a rectangular non blob shape.

Dye sub print out with up to 20 images of your choice printed on it multiple times.

roll of kapton tape, used to tape images to the keycap before placing it in the heating element.

let me know if you guys have any questions.

Just a heads up, all your images are fudged. Have to used bbcode here, so either or for each of your pics instead of what Reddit uses.
