It's probably not, but it looks very Cherry MX-11800-esque.

Thats what I was thinking.
Its hard to tell but it looks like it has mx caps.
Could be any switches under there.
I have emailed the seller to find out.

It's certainly not built off the MX-11800 platform, though.  The key layout is not the same, and if I'm not mistaken, the buttons for the trackball are above and below the ball not on either side.

Actually, now that I look at it, I would bet it is a Cherry rebadge.  The profile looks identical to my g80-3000, and the front edge slopes down the same way, too.  It also looks like it uses the same ball mechanism as the MX-11800, but that might be coincidence.

You proabably have a good shot.  It's only 5.50 Pounds with 12 hours left and no bids.  It looks like you have a good shot.  It could be Cherry OEMed, but a rubber dome 'board.  If not, you will have caught a nice deal.

I tried a fairly cursory Google search, but all I really got was a bunch of parts sites.  None of them gave any good insight on the construction of this 'board.  Perhaps Chloe, the Google Queen and resident Switch Kitten can come to the rescue.

I think it is rubber dome based on this review. The SK-3211 is very similar.

btw, it's not a cherry, the feet and general styling are quite wrong. SK prefix suggests silitek. will, of course, defer to Chloe's judgment on this.

I know its not a cherry board but the switches being used could still have been cherry could they not? Or fake cherry like a qtronix?
Reading the review the Korean one is rubber dome for sure so this will be too.
Bugger.

The 3211 there has half height top row keys on the numpad. If this one had them I would have known right away it was rubber dome.
But unless my eyes deceive me the keys on this one are all normal size.

Well it could still be a good rubber dome like my NMB keyboard. But if its crappy rubber dome... well at least you didn't pay £100?

I've been referred to as both. I really don't mind either, it's not like we're hooking up through this forum or anything.

Other than the complexities of lam's (and perhaps Tales') current relationship(s), That would be one HELL of a long distance relationship.

BTW, you can refer to me as "it."

I am in one. Incidentally my SO is about the same distance away from me as lam is.

I have my priorities, sir. :)  That's why you don't see me much on the weekends; there's better things to do.

Right now, unfortunately, none of those things is going on a date. :(

Wonderful stuff.

I won the stupid keyboard by the way.
After the auction he got back to me with 'no the keys aren't rubber mate'
I just could not be bothered so said thanks.

Sigh...

I know this is an old thread—but in case anyone else comes here looking for details about this particular board, it is indeed a rubber-domer:
