I wonder if anyone know where to buy the Cherry Mx Silver Switches for DIY. They seem really good with its 1.2 mm actuation point.

I think the only place you can get them right now is if you harvest them from a Corsair board that has the Cherry MX Speed Switches equipped.
Like the RGB Tech they came out with, its gonna be a while till these hit the DIY Market.

They're now in the new Ducky One board as well.

Buuump. Seriously considering getting a Ducky One TKL of the Silver MX since they're now rolling in. Should be pretty good for that dope ass kz movement, yeh? I think I'm going to try it out.
I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

Still a bit expensive for harvesting, but hopefully will be available as loose switches at some point.  I wonder if they are scratchy.

edit: looks like they are already on order as loose switches, but no ETA on when they will become available:

I look at this page at least three times a day and consider buying it. I have white switches currently, they work for me... I have no complaints and do well in games. Still, I want this board and must fight the urge to splurgeeee.  :-X

I've been typing on them, not scratchy at all (to me) but I would like others to chime in as they get their hands on them. The shorter actuation distance is really nice, quick and snappy. The springs are on the light side, feel similar to reds but isn't that what blacks turn into when we use lighter springs? lol

I'm hesitating.... MX Speed Silver or Silent Red. So difficult!

Silent Speed Nature switches would be perfect.

Cherry MX Nature = Stiffer than Red, Lighter than Black.  Probably the closest Gateron would be Yellows.
