filco, maybe das (first mechanical keyboard)
« on: Sat, 20 February 2010, 16:23:35 »
I'm looking to buy my first mechanical switch keyboard. I have been doing a lot of reading lately and I know that I want the cherry blue switches.

I am looking at the Filco Otaku, however it is out of stock at elitekeyboards, http://tiny.cc/oAX5C. Is there another place to buy them, or do you know when they will come back in stock?

I was also looking at the Das S Ultimate. I have seen a lot of people advising others to avoid the das boards. Have the newer das S versions fixed the das III and the original S issues? Is it still advisable to avoid the das products?

Thanks

If you get satisfaction from polishing your keyboard three times a day, then the DAS is for you.
Typing on blues.

I think I will go with the filco, however, I really want the blue switches in the otaku model. Does anyone know when it will come back in stock or when the separate set of keys without letters will come in stock?

I heard somewhere both would be back in the first week of March.
