Replacing switches on K70
« on: Thu, 15 June 2017, 16:52:18 »
Hello! I have a Corsair vengeance k70 that had cherry MX blues. I got it for cheap so I didn't have much of a choice in switch but now I really need to get rid of those switches. They are just too loud. I put o-rings I had lying around on them, which helped but didn't help enough. So is it possible to replace the switches on it? I don't want to open it up and discover that I had just broken it. I'm fine desoldering and soldering the switches. Also, would one of the pexon USB mod cable kits would work on this keyboard. And is it a bad idea to paint the top plate of that keyboard? Thanks
