Since it's mechanical, it's probably just full rollover with diodes. If that's true, it's pretty cheap for what it is. It's significantly cheaper than its FILCO counterpart. I just don't like the layout. It's a cheap compromise between ISO and ANSI that is just repulsive.

Yeah, seems to me whatever surplus keysets they can get for cheap, decides the layout.

They forgot to highlight the perimeter fingergrease groove—
Is there a reason why the case is inverted?  The bottom looks more like a tray rather than the top being a lid...

Not quite. It's the Human Resources layout.

"Good morning employees. Welcome to day 56 of your compulsory Diversity Awareness Course. In today's session we will celebrate diversity by typing on keyboards with Chinese Enter keys, Japanese Backslash and right shift keys, and Western Backspace keys. There will be no extra key as found on the ISO layout, as that has been declared institutionally racist. You won't be able to type for ****, but this will be a valuable lesson in how a multi-cultural team can work in harmony to overcome obstacles by embracing our differences."

ALWAYS looking for cool and interesting switches
I take requests for making keyboard converters (i.e. *old keyboard* to USB).

Wow, I hadn't noticed the shortened right shift.

Usually when they do that, it's at the expense of backspace.

I'm thinking brown Cherry MX, based on them saying it's tactile but not clicky in a press release.

Weird layout indeed... whatever happened to the inverted enter?

What is the difference between the 6Gv2 and 7G keyboards?:

The SteelSeries 6Gv2 is modeled after the award winning SteelSeries 7G keyboard. It is a lower priced mechanical keyboard compared to the 7G, but still offers the “anti-ghosting” features that defines the G series. The SteelSeries 6Gv2 features both PS/2 and gold-plated USB connectors as well as 18K gold-plated mechanical switches.  The new keyboard will incorporate SteelSeries’ Media Controls allowing quick access to volume, mute and other audio controls

The 6Gv2 is for gamers who want a quality keyboard like the 7G, but can do without some of the more advanced features such as the audio ports for headphone-in and microphone-out, the two USB ports, and removable plastic handrest.

at least the layout is less exotic than the 7G

Mechanical switches are mechanical.
