Hot keyboards in your area!
« on: Thu, 29 June 2017, 15:02:43 »
Hey, I'm Koriko. I apparently like mechanical keyboards or something. I know, it's weird. I'm a huge fan of the DIY keeb scene and love seeing new tech being put into something as innocuous as a keyboard. My girlfriend got me into this damn hobby, and I guess keyboards are an extension of my Arduino/electronics hobby so it resonates so well.
My next project will probably either be a handwired preonic or a stickerbombed weeb Sentraq S60-X so my girlfriend and I will build the same keeb at the same time.
My first mechanical keyboard was a Black Widow Chroma with Cherry Blues and Vortex Doubleshot Backlit PBTs, but for now, it's on the workbench while I put Gateron Yellows on it. Other than that, my first DIY keen is this Sentraq S65-X after two weeks of use:

And this is the glamour shot:

Welcome! I don't think you'll find that weird at all around here.

That's far more unusual. You might be the first person here with that experience!

Very nice keyboard. I think most people around here start with Cherry MX Blue before realizing there's a whole world of switches out there. Curious to know what you'll think of the Gateron Yellows.
