Handheld mouses/trackballs, anyone ?
« on: Sat, 06 March 2010, 16:11:47 »
I found this surfing the web today : http://www.usbgeek.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=0256

I'm tempted. Do you know of any similar device ?

I'm interested into this kind of thing because I often watch videos on my computer and I'd like to have some kind of remote to set it on pause, stop the video, push up the volume and things like that.

I currently use a keyboard for this the way you suggested. But it's not comfortable. I suffer from RSI and I don't want to use anything that forces the hand in an unnatural position for extended periods of time. I'm trying to reduce the use of conventional input devices as much as possible in the evenings.

I saw a ton of those things on ebay, all were from China and unusually cheap.  BEWARE!
Trackballs: Kensington Orbit with Scroll Ring and Logitech Marble
Keyboards: Who cares?
