FA Schwartz Fisher Technic. I haven't seen any real Fisher Technic in three decades, but there's a
German site
that's close.

I grew up with Fischertechnik, and I'm still grateful for that. By far the most sophisticated and versatile constuction toy I'm aware of. Only downside: It's ****ing expensive even in Germany, probaly more so in the US.
