changing orientation of ALPS sliders

Have any of you guys tried changing the orientation of ALPS sliders on your switches? I just did it on my Orange Alps keyboard and it feels Immaculate, the bump is sharper and more pronounced, similar to Brown alps (o at least how I remember them, I don't have them with me to compare). I really don't know what is making this feel any different, considering that the only thing that changes is the small opening on one side of the slider that doesn't come in contact with anything.

I dont think there is a difference in sides of the slider for the parts the touch - sides, and ends of the face on the leaf.
The side with the leaf on it doesnt have the notch which i'm guessing prevents the spring from getting near the leaf. Now if your sliders are really worn out or damaged and are not smooth against the leaf I can imagine flopping them around might change something, i dunno.
