Phantom ROW 0 stopped working
« on: Fri, 08 September 2017, 12:04:05 »
Hi folks, I have built a custom keyboard with phantom + teensy a few days ago, it had worked fine until this morning when I was trying to switch to another case. Suddenly all the keys on ROW 0 (space, ctrl, alt, left, down, right...) stopped working, all other keys on the keyboard are still good.

My knowledge of electronics is quite limited, can anyone teach me how to check the connectivity between ROW 0 and teensy?

Thanks in advance!

Have a multimeter?  Typically you'd want to put it on ohm mode, and connect one lead to the row 0 pin on the teensy, and then the other lead to each row 0 switch pin to check for continuity.
Quoting me causes a posting error that you need to ignore.

Is the new case metal? It's possible it could have shorted out on the case.

Thanks folks, I actually fixed the problem short after I posted here. The problem was I did a bad job on soldering pin B0 of teensy to phantom, it became loose after a few moving around and case changes. Luckily for me, after I applied a little bit solder to the pin, ROW 0 went back in service :D
