Apparently Das keyboard has increased their lineup of keyboards.  You can now buy the Model S with 2 Windows keys and no multimedia keys.  I guess Das heard the complaints about the location of the function key and did something about it.

In addition they are expanding their lineup of "silent" keyboard, a.k.a. those that use Cherry MX Brown.  You can now get the Ultimate (blank key caps) with Cherry Browns.

The Mac guys didn't sound happy about the location of the FCN key.  Getting rid of it entirely though was the easy way out - strip out a few lines in firmware and use the old keys.

Plus their marketing person should decide whether to call it Model S Professional or Professional Model S.

Sloppy marketing = sloppy transposition errors.

Wait.  How does that make the Professional Model S with 2 windows keys different from the Original Das Keyboard Professional?  Except that the Professional Model S has does not have the ****ed up firmware?

They should just call it the "fixed das keyboard with 2 windows keys" vs the "****ed das keyboard" so we can figure this whole confusion out easier.

With each passing day I am more pleased with my purchase of a blue cherry Filco, hideous Vista keys and all.

And as for the Prius jokes, be careful.  My mother is a Prius.
