Steampunk's not really my thing, but he did a remarkable job on that one.  Excellent craftsmanship.

Probably ALPs- though I suppose it could be Cherries (he mentions Mathias Tactile Pro and Das).  Write him; he'll certainly be able to tell you exactly what switches the board has.

Datamancer's work is outstanding. I'm gonna wait for my fed refund to come, see if I can't support the keyboard arts a bit more directly.

Hey Everyone! I just found this via my Google Alerts. I actually signed up for this forum a while back and made a few posts, but then I got hit by my Christmas rush and I trailed off and forgot about the place.
Anywho, thanks! I'm glad you all like the keyboard. This one uses a DSI core and yellow Alps switches. I find that the yellows have a really nice sound and feel for my mods. Some of the tactile switches have a little too much click for my tastes, but after you mod the keys and remove the plastic key skirts with the yellows, it removes a lot of the hollow sound from the keyboard (the "clunk") so the sound of the keys bottoming out adds just enough "clack" without need for any extra "click".

I do have plans to expand outward in the near future and branch into other styles. Right now I'm trying to steer away from raw commission work and focus on building batches of things and the Scrabble keyboards are near the top of that list, but I do have some ideas for futuristic/alientech/cyberpunk/etc mods.

Thanks, webwit! One thing I've been researching, gathering supplies for, and will do doing soon is metal casting so I've actually been considering a few things along those lines- solid metal frames, wood frames, aluminum keys, and possibly even a solid copper keyboard for use in medical facilities and by germaphobes (copper and copper alloys are naturally anti-microbial). Thanks for the suggestions. Do you think a removable cord would be something a lot of people would want on a keyboard or is that just your own personal preference?

Now if the plastic case was replaced by something better, and it had a breaded detachable cord and better adjustable feet, it would be something I would buy at a premium price.

I admit to being quite impressed by the first Cyberpunk Model M I saw about 2 years ago considering the amount of work and skill invested. However, looking at it now, the typewriter look doesn't appeal to me much and the fact that it costs almost as much as I make in a month doesn't help either
