Assistance with Mech27
« on: Mon, 17 April 2017, 15:48:50 »
Just received my Mech 27 and can find absolutely no documentation on how to program it.  Underglow comes on, but no keypresses are recognized, so I am assuming it needs to be flashed first.

Can someone point me in at least a general direction?

Thanks!

IIRC the Mech27 comes with a Leeku TX87 PCB

I think Leeku has a gui of some sort for flashing/programming the PCBs.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

It is actually a TGR Jane.  I figured out that I needed to use the Winkeyless Bootmapper, but none of the keys are mapped and the columns make no sense, at least not to me.  Would be great to have an existing hex file to start with.

Hey sorry to bump an old thread, but were you able to figure this out?

Bought a mech27 from r/mechmarket and trying to figure out how to program it. I can connect to it using bootmapper client, adjust the LED lighting, but when I try to download the existing programming it doesn't load correctly.

Edit: hrm after playing around with bootmapper a bit, I got it to upload properly! Had to start from scratch on the settings but here's what I used to get it a fairly standard layout:
