Engraving service in the European Union?
« on: Tue, 23 October 2018, 15:59:17 »
Is there an engraving service for keyboards, both desktop and laptop, in the European Union? If yes, do they allow custom engravings? Thank you.

I don't know if it was manufacturer-made or just custom-made by a seller or other third party, but my RT101 has engraved language characters (alongside the dyesub English characters). So there was a service like this at some point.

So, there is no engraving service for keyboards int EU. At least, is there anywhere worldwide I could send single keycaps for engraving?  As I would like some laptop keycaps engraved, I cannot buy them finished. Thanks.

There are surely plenty of laser engraving services around but they probably advertise doing metal.  They'd need to turn the laser down (or the speed up?) for plastic but as long as the surface you want engraved is flat they should be able to do it.  Profiled desktop caps will be harder.

As it's a one off job the cost will probably be high though (it takes as long to setup and test whether you do 1 set or 100) so you might be better off buying a laser engraver off ebay and doing it yourself.
