PP2124 Siemens Keyboard C79458-L7000-B14 - Cable
« on: Thu, 06 December 2018, 17:02:34 »
Hi there,
I just got this from a storage unit, Siemens Keyboard don't know what model and type it is (only thing I know there was a sticker on it and it says "working condition") I search some and find just one-page same item on sale with name/model.
"PP2124 Siemens Keyboard C79458-L7000-B14"
I wonder if I can connect this to my pc via USB.

Can anyone/someone know this type of keyboard saw before? and guide me in the right direction? It would really help me?
I'm planning to make a wooden case for this via cnc but I have to solve cable first.

Thanks in advance for your valuable time.
Cheers!

This is a spare part for a Siemens PG 710, 730 or 750 field programmer. It talks PS/2 to the main unit, no USB. The original cables either had a 6-pin mini-DIN plug with standard pin-out or large 7-pin DIN-plug with the pin-out of pins 1-5 being identical to the IBM AT keyboard plug. If you don't have a cable, you'll need to trace the leads from the connector to the controller to identify the voltage and signal pins. With the signal pins, you'll have to do trial-and-error to find the proper matching of DAT and CLK lines.
