Northgate, yes it is rare and very cool but holy smokes that's a steep price.

I would buy a lot more from Ncbound10 if his shipping prices weren't so constantly high. And FYI, his cleaning jobs are deteriorating big time. The last board I bought from him was pretty dirty and definitely hadn't been cleaned well.

There's a seller on eBay who prices Northgates at $400+. They regularly sell closer to $100+. I've never seen a $400 auction succeed.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

Holy crap! He's really starting to jack up his prices.

You're right about his cleaning jobs deteriorating. A couple years ago I got a Model M off him and it was spotlessly clean. The last two keyboards I got from him were absolutely filthy.

He also has a disturbing habit of touching up keyboards with paint that rubs off easily. My Model F looked spotless in the pictures, but when I got it and wiped it down with a damp paper towel, the paint all rubbed off - showing all the chips and defects. I think it was the same kind of flat paint used for painting drywall.

I think he's still a great source for keyboards, just not as clean as they used to be.  I also got a Model M from him a couple years ago that was as clean as they come, refurbed the way rarekeyboardstore and some others do, but the last couple from him weren't so clean.  It won't stop me from bidding though.

I did notice this craptastic event.
"Holy crap, Batman!", which Robin never actually said, to my knowledge, although he did say "Holy atomic pile, Batman!",

The $595 price is going a good enough job to stop me from bidding.

LOL, I meant on other auctions.  Definitely not this one.

Either he heard someone say "the recession is over"....

or he's now lurking here and figures "I bet webwit doesn't have one of these, let' s see if he bites on $595".....

or he saw the last M15 sold for $539.....

or he's just one of those greedy ebay sellers who over estimates what he has.

Pick one.

My view has no bids, no private listing, no indication anyone bid at all.

I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.
