So I saw a post for MassDrop on twitter.
So I saw the listing for Godspeed on Massdrop.
So I learned that there are clicky switches that feel more like my beloved IBM tank kb of 30 years that I can't use at the office but that are silent.
So I ordered the Godspeed set.
etc. etc. etc.
Got a Ducky Clear coming tomorrow to tide me over while I figure out how to make a kb that will make this Apollo fanboy happy. Full size, controllable lights under each key so I can backlight in each key's matchine hue, painted case, etc.
Then I need to make a Tiki keyboard for my entertainment lair.
Oh, it's a steep slope I'm going down...
I have been on Mass Drop for a year or so and have found some really nice products. Stuff I didn't need but worth having, like ear buds, merino wool clothing, amps, everyday carry items, etc.. Had never really thought about Mechanical Keyboards. I hate the membrane ones I have but didn't know that better ones were available. Until one day two weeks ago I say a drop for a TKC1800 and read through the details. Then on to Mechanical Keyboards 101 and more. Makes sense to work on good keyboards when that is where you spend most of your day.
Not two weeks later I have acquired a Ducky one 2 for work, a Corsair for home, a TKC1800 Mass Drop, a keyset drop and of course a 60% portable board from Banggood that will take a month to get here.
Please throw me a rope, I'm slipping fast;)
I hope to stay put with these keebs and learn how to best use them.
