Where to buy a TOPRE REALFORCE keyboard?
« on: Sat, 09 February 2019, 08:55:07 »
Hello!

Today i have a Apple Magic keyboard 2 with numpad, but i dont like it at all.  :( I need to look down often because I cant really "feel" where the correct button is.

I did a research for the best comfortable and silence keyboard on the market and found this REALFORCE 87US 45gram!
I also see it has a new version called R2, and some called 88U, you guys know the difference?

And can someone please tell me where I can buy this keyboard with shipping to Sweden?   :thumb:

Thank you very very much!

I'm no expert on Topre but I believe the numbers relate to the number of keys - ISO boards have an extra one compared to ANSI.  You can buy some models of both types shipping from the EU to avoid import tax from The Keyboard Company in the UK :)

But they only have the old rev1 model, not rev2.  Thank you anyways.

It dont matter if it is US keyboard or Nordic, I will map it using software anyways.

Thank you very much, any one have any idea where to find this R2 model?  :thumb:

Some time ago, RF boards were available from Elitekeyboards.com, but they appear to always be out of stock.

They are now available from Amazon and eBay. Amazon has both the original RF87U and the new R2 boards. They sometimes have the PFU special edition, which has silienced Topre switches and all-45g weighting.

In my opinion, the best and most reliable eBay vendor is "Widebasket" (based in S. Korea). He has the Leopold version of the RF boards. As I understand it, the Leopold-branded RF boards are functionally equivalent to the Topre-branded ones, but with a different color scheme for the keycaps.

You can get more detailed information about models and model numbers by going to the Topre web site.

I just ordered from here:

I hope a 500USD (with tax) keyboard without me touching it will be OK.

Thank you.

Yes, thank you!

Never had a mechanic keyboard before.

I hope it will not make to much noise because i have a neurologic disease that makes me very sensitive to noise.  :( :(

What other TKL keyboards should you guys recommend?

Thank you very much!

Realforce silent is the way to go. Only board you’ll need.  :thumb: I have a 87ub silent.
