Hello everybody!
I just got cached by this fascination for mechanical keyboards. I bought a dasKeyboard 4 professional with Cherry Blues a year ago. I’m a user of a tiling window manager (Awesome WM) and mostly keyboard driven applications (terminal apps and stuff that supports Vim keys like cVim for my Browser), so the keyboard is my 99% interface to my computer.
Now I wanted to buy another mech board for work… and came to TKL boards… and then to 75% boards… and then to all this great options of building a board myself. I’m overwhelmed.
So, I started to get crazy about building my own keyboard myself. Maybe a ~75% keyboard with a Teensy and QMK?
We’ll see. The most significant obstacle is my spare time.
And I’m really curious about all the interesting things which are going on here at geekhack.
One question about geekhack: I wanted to log in into the Wiki – out of curiosity and because I highly appreciate the concept of a Wiki for any community that “manages information” – but it seems the geekhack account isn’t valid for the wiki. How can I create an account there?
