Turning wireless KB to PS/2
« on: Wed, 19 May 2010, 12:23:08 »
Hello geekhack.

I got this nice KB from the junk yard, missing a receiver (and I wouldn't want one). It has very nice tactile response and I was thinking of turning it into a PS/2 compatible KB if possible.

Did a dig about this anonymous piece of hardware and found the schematics at FCC site :) It's labeled as Smartbox K9002, manufactured by G.Tech technologies ltd, China.

I know roughly what is what on a PCB, but discerning actual sections and what they do is slightly beyond me, so I would really appreciate any help anyone here can give me towards making this little mod.

So basically all I need is to find the Data and Clock pins from these schematics and I'd connect the +5V and ground from the PS/2 to the inputs from batteries which is 2xAAA = 3V.

Here are the schematics:

Thanks for any help!

// Edit

Here are the schematics of the IC:

Says in the manual that pins PC0 and PC1 (both) can be used for either DATA or CLOCK, but this is a programmable controller so I'm not quite sure they're ready as they are set now. It's a chip from Holtek and they have some IDE tools listed for this IC so I guess if it's not fit for PS/2 they way it is now then this is a fail, right?
