NMB RT8255cw+ question
« on: Tue, 30 April 2019, 02:20:00 »
Does anyone know if NMB ever made this keyboard without the Erase-Eaze feature? I love that it has a 104 layout, with clicky space invaders, but due to physical disability, I would find Erase-Eaze extremely annoying (in the sense that I can't guarantee I won't end up hitting the Erase-Eaze key when I don't really intend to.) I do realize that it's configurable, but it seems that it must be done with every reboot. The keyboard has no memory to store the user's preferred option.

Google the model number. You'll find MOST are actually without it. The Ease-erase models are quite rare and fairly sought after.
Check my keyboard video reviews:

Ah, OK. Thanks, Thomas! I can see that thanks to deskthority wiki. It seems they were supposed to use an E in those models, but didn't always bother to do so. If I google it, though, most of the results happen to be the Erase-Eaze version. Of course, looking at eBay, there are currently none listed, and the majority of NMB keyboards listed are of the dome with slider variety. I'll keep looking! Fond memories because clicky space invaders were the switch with which I learned not to hunt and peck. :) ...SO much better than MX blue and clones thereof!
