I for one will be getting the base set and am happy with the kit and pricing structure. It reflects current community needs as well as striking a balance of low cost to entry to allow newcomers into this hobby.
With all the discussions around having to pay additional for child kits, or this key or that key not being in the base set. The reality is that you can never ever please everyone. If you are, you are kidding yourself. All you can do is follow the 80/20 rule and aim to please the majority of people. Supply and demand dictates why the base kit is set the way it is.
There always r/mm and other places to trade, buy, sell that specific key you are after if the idea of buying a child kit for a specific key doesn't sit well with someone.
