I thought those were fairies.  Pixies are more mean-spirited and sneaky, right?  From Celtic folk tales?  I'm sure in 2010 the terms are pretty much synonymous though, kind of like Coke, soda, cola, etc...

I just picture a little bit more mischievous nature to a pixie.

Pixels, however, are quite noble and kind, until they die.  The negative energy of the dead pixel then dominates all the living pixels around it until all you can see is the dead pixel.  A real downer, those dead pixels.

The pixels on my monitors never die because I use CRT's.

There are low-end CRTs which get dead pixels, I had one. That's just with the new china stuff though.

My CRT's have also passed the time test (Once it's 15 years old it's pretty much immortal).

Well, my G70 is 14 years old! One more year...

The C170s are 6 years; they already have minor moire problems and ring sometimes. Don't think they'll last as long considering where they are made:

None of my monitors were made in China. Two are American, and the Samsung was made in Japan. But Japan makes good quality stuff these days.

Its one of my favorites -a scene from the movie "Snatch" - which is a sort of character study of the various folks who are tied together, at times accidentally, by the unlikely travels of a fist sized diamond, which happens to also be the target of some rather hapless petty thieves and other fellas that are a bit more on the dangerous side. (Highlights of some of those characters at their best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8XaVWAsT9A&feature=fvw )  If you liked "Pulp Fiction" you will likely appreciate "Snatch" as well, though the rhythm of speech might take a few minutes to get used to - Kinda like "Trainspotting" did in the beginning.  Also recommend "Formula 51" for a similar experience - and that one has Samuel L. Jackson, too!  (At least I think its "51" - Might be "49" or some other number around that area... Almost wrote "409" at first...)
