Hey Everyone!

Hey everyone!

New enthusiast here!

How I Got Here
I'm from the UK, and like many people here I've been working from home since March due to the corona.  My home "office" is actually our spare room and the desk was feeling pretty cramped with the fullsized dome membrane keyboard I'd liberated from my office.  I decided it was time to invest in a keyboard for myself and didn't realise I was teetering on the edge of a deep but fascinating rabbit hole (being oblivious to the very existence of mechanical switches prior to this)!  At first I was eyeing various Ducky and Leopold models, but as soon as I discovered people were building their own I had now choice but to join the fun!

In balancing getting together something as quickly as possible with the desire to have something that at least felt somewhat premium, I went for the KBD75v2, Cherry Browns lubed with an "equivalent to Trybosys 3204" bought off eBay, and some tai hao abs keycaps.

Rather than simply investing in a new keyboard, I've caught the bug and am looking forward to getting stuck into this hobby.

What Next?
I hope my next project will be something a little more premium and special.  I'm basically planning to keep an eye out on group buys to find a kit that really grabs me.  I don't know exactly what that'll, but I've got a feeling it's a "know it when you seen it" type situation.  I also want to experiment with different switches and maybe authentic lube if I can get hold of it.  The cherry browns feel a little light to me, so maybe cherry clears will be next!

Nice to meet you all, and looking forward to exploring this forum!
