Ah I was wondering if Geon was ever going to turn his triangle corner concept into a keycap set himself, since I kinda prefer it to Mitos Pixel. Kinda surprised he's not running it himself, but I guess he thought it's probably more effort than was worth his time, so kudos for trying to bring it from renders to reality.
Biggest issue I think is the barred homing keys design. I'll add my voice to the growing list people who dislike the current iteration of it.
I don't want my homing keys to stick out like a sore thumb. Their purpose is to guide my finger placement with its barred nature. There is nothing positionally interesting about them that warrants making its aesthetic differ so much from the rest of the alphas.
inb4 you copied mito!!!
It was clever and well executed when GMK Dots did the 'non-blank blanks' thing. It was weak but barely passable when Mito gave his take on it. It's just lame and uninspired here.
In case you didn't know, if you go via Geonworks instagram account, he's been using this design in his renders since July 2019, preceding Mitos' take on it.
Yeah it's not creatively complex, but does it have to be? I think this set achieves it simple purpose of being evocative of simple triangles.
The fact that it offers 4 mod and 2 alpha options is cool, and at least it is something different in affordable PBT, versus the N millionth GMK set.
