Womier K87 stabilizer issue (potential utter noob question)
« on: Thu, 01 April 2021, 08:42:28 »
I've got a Womier K87, my first hot swappable board. It has plate mount stabilizers, some of which don't seem to want to snap securely into place. Is there an easy fix for this? Should I be looking at replacing the stabilizers, or is this indicative of an issue with the plate itself? (Zero modifications on it beyond changing the keycaps, so if it's got incorrect bits, it's the factory that screwed up.)

If I understand you correctly some of the stabs dont snap into the plate and come out when you take keycaps off?
You could test if the stab housing is at fault, pop out some stabilizers and test them in the problematic spots.

More or less, that's what happens.  They don't completely come out due to the wire's position tucked under the plate, but instead pivots up with very little pressure.

Good idea.  I swapped the left and right shift, and it appears to be an issue with the plate.
