I actually just asked the seller to post a pic, but I guess I'll find out what it looks like when you receive it, lol. And I'm not sure what switches it has, but I don't think they are browns.

My money is on clears- just hope it's not black. But for 23$ shipped, it was worth it to find out.

I wouldn't worry. I am sure that it is a LUVEUly keyboard, either way.

The good news:
it has brown switches (but the space bar is a grey switch)
it appears to be new as advertised
The bad news:
when I plug it in, it seems like the space bar is stuck on. I can press backspace and the repeated spaces stop, but press another key and they start back up again. Is that a driver issue by any chance?
Here are the pics:

Pop the space bar carefully and see if the switch is stuck or if something is in it. It could also be something touching contacts behind the PCB. Like a piece of foil wrapper.

Definitely not a mechanical issue. It goes up and down just fine.... Urgh I bet I am going to have to take this thing apart.

Just because it goes up and down doesn't mean it's just fine.
You might have something in the switch that is making contact, or something on the PCB. it's probably an easy fix and disassembling that board is a piece of cake, it might not even require tools on that case.

Okay, I checked aquakeytest, and the results are interesting.
Resting, it registers as ON.
If i push down space a little bit, it registers as OFF.
If I push it down beyond the tactile point, it registers as ON.

Is there any way to tell? The switch itself is grey.

It's the switch that's bad. Rocking it side to side even a tiny bit causes the state to toggle.

I took the switch apart and ruined it
So now, it looks like I am going to have to desolder.
Subjectively, this keyboard doesn't feel nearly as nice to type on as the Filco with the same switches, and it's certainly cheaper in terms of construction.

Hey, is there any way to remove the metal leaf from a switch w/o desoldering the switch from the board? I have an entire top row of keys on this thing I could use to swap.

I am happy to report that I desoldered a switch from the useless top row and swapped it with the space bar switch and it was pretty simple to do. I am typing on the board now. I wanted a brown in the space bar anyway
The quality difference between this and my filco is absolutely huge, though, and this one will go back in the box and serve as a backup/collector item only.
Thanks guys for the help!

Keep the grey stem, that is a clear stem in a different color. it's a good reminder in case you want one down the line, the only difference is the spring. I personally like the cherry build quality myself. I am guessing that you like the plate mounted switches more than pcb mounted.

Exactly. The plate mounting feels a lot more solid to me. Don't get me wrong, it's still better than most keyboards out there by a mile.
I also didn't know that grey stem was a clear- definitely takes more force.

The tactile bump is the same, not the force. cherry spacebar switches are always heavier.
