PC Line low-profile keyboard

Perhaps the best-kept secret in keyboarding world, cheap, generic-ish brand PC Line makes an amazing low-profile scissor switch keyboard for £7.99.

I was at PC World this evening, trying out the keyboards they had on display for one that I could use at the office when I came across these keyboards. There was a £7.99 keyboard that outclassed the more expensive, and supposedly R&D'ed, Microsoft, Logitech, and Razer. There were only two left on the shelf, so I bought both of them. At that price, it was a steal anyway.

I will still be saving for a Filco, as I long to re-discover the feeling of mechanical keyboards -- I used NEC and Sanyo ones a long, long time ago -- but for now these cheap PC Line will do.

For those in the UK who may be interested, here is the model in question.

The in-store price was £7.99 today, but it is selling for £8.99 on the web.

I was at MicroCenter today, and they had some scissor switch space saving keyboards with the same type of layout as a laptop or the SIIG MiniTouches for $9.99. I was there to try out anything with MX Blues. Sadly, they decided to stop putting out show models. Worthless trip, and we got lost.
Current Favorite:  Noppoo Choc Mini with Cherry MX Blues
"Storage": ABS M1, Unicomp Customizer 104, Razer Lycosa, (3) Dell AT101W, GeekHack Space Saver
Other stuff: Razer DeathAdder, eXactMat
