I know it's a terrible tragedy, but I'm sucker for god's sense of irony...

Interesting.  Not meaning to take away from this, just FYI I was googling Segway just now and...  Apparently Heselden made most of his money selling barrier systems to the military and bought the Segway company earlier this year perhaps hoping to develop a military market for it as well.  Dean Kamen actually invented the Segway
