| Most Ergonomic Thumb Cluster Style? |
| (1/1) |
| troxad:
I am designing a keyboard primarily based on Kinesis Advantage 2. I am going to be using flexible PCB like the actual Advantage2 to get the bowl shape but might add in a few more keys like where the Ergodox places them. I am considering re-designing the thumb clusters but want to know what would be the best alternative. The two biggest alternatives i'm thinking of are: router login 192.168.l.l.link/ - Thumb arcs like Keyboardio - Clusters on a sloped opposable plane like the Manuform Any other designs i should consider? |
| Findecanor:
Aren't Dactyl Manuform's thumb cluster both in an arc and on a sloping plane? Other designs: There are some keyboards, like the Glove80 and Dygma Defy that have two arced rows of keys, with each row on a different level. BTW, you could also ask at ErgoMechKeyboards at Lemmy.world, if you haven't already. I think that is the most vibrant community for curved ergo-mechs. (recently moved there from Reddit, because of the API crisis) |
