Hi! In this thread i will try to cover all OTD keyboards. All info and stuff will be covered, with OTD lore itself. Two posts in one day.

Right now i will start with how OTD started. Biggest part of this community was based on KBDMania, but with sometime conflicts with moderation started to appear, Eungsam and other people started complaining about greedness and tirany of moderations, mainly "Kant" and his friends, because they started to take down GB posts of Eungsam's friends. First OTD keyboard groupbuy, 356-L was started in 2008 on kbdmania, but next keyboard was runned on "ohbang.net", proto of otd.kr, the reason to make this forum was to have profit-less and non-commerical community, at first stages of this forum - 356n MK1 gb started, later ohbang.net was re-organized and transformed to otd.kr . First custom board GB was OTD 356CL, legendary custom board that made basis of keyboard design.

Most of OTD was based mainly at meetups, there were meetups related to group buy boards receiving, building them, bicycle meetups and group trips. This community was pretty tight-knitted, if you were really active member you would receive "writing power" points, some of the boards started to be limited to those kind of people, for example OTD 356.2 which wasn't offered publicly.

Seems like OTD history ended only this year. Overall main projects ended on OTD 360C which was sold back in 2013, one group of people were against Eungsam, as DSPMan explained to me, most of those people were interested in profits and whistleblowned about Eungsam to tax office. OTD boards were produced under leadership of eungsam, in the process - people who participated in gb paid Eungsam upfront, Eungsam used those money to produce boards and vendored them once he got everything made. From point of view of tax office, there were transactions for products producing without taxes paid, so tax office conducted investigation on Eungsam, which leaded to Eungsam falling off from OTD, and in future completely disappearing from this hobby. Website was active up to 2025. When Eungsam left it, rights for website were obtained by his friend, but with time his friend also left hobby and website was left dead. in 2024-2025 website became alive again, but later website was closed and seemed dead. after sometime, i found out that when you try to open website it says "해외접속차단", which means that site access from overseas is restricted, but when you try to open it with VPN, it opens up as empty tistory page, korean blog website. no one knows future of forum, but probably its just lays on someone disk now...

OTD 356MF (A.K.A 356L S/N 001, Eungsam Tenkeyless) - First prototype of 356L, MF means Metal Frame, The board is fully in raw aluminium and haves brushed finish. The board is predecessor of 356AMF. Haves strange mounting system and FR4(?) green PCB. I See white silkscreen of switch footprints, strange mounting points on pcb, strange stabilizer cutouts, also screwholes (?) on sides of plate. Made in 2007.03.04. Standart F12 Layout.Built with Cherry G80-3491 Blacks and G80-3491 keycaps. The point to make it, was that Eungsam wanted to make Cherry version of Realforce TKL keyboard. Was meant to be first TKL MX keyboard with variable weight springs. The 356 in OTD naming is length of plate on their first keyboard

OTD 356ES - Engineering samples of 356L, In silver or black ano, haves stainless steel (?) plate and polycarbonate one. not sure if PC plate was included in 356L. haves sketchup of southpaw version, but it was probably never finished. haves also black plate with 356-ES engraving. only 5 made. Top Mount. probably was built to check how it works with finished pcb and plate

OTD 356L - First GB board. Was run in 2008 after DK saver, Uses top mount, made out of german aluminium, L means optimized for linear switches, only black color, one lost during shipping, 60 units, run through KBDmania, Uses FR4 (?) white pcb adapted to work with Cherry G80-3491 controller, made by KlKlKl from DK. Case haves special cutout for controller, PCB Supports LED.  In GB you will receive: Case, PCB, Wrist Rest, Switch Stickers. Also there was brushed version, made after 23'rd unit didnt pass QC (due to rust).

I would suggest providing sources / citation of your information. I don't think purely describing pictures you have found online is enough to displace the existing "otd wiki". Also to leave out any information if you're uncertain, the alarming number of (?) does not invoke much confidence in being an informative source and inadvertently create more confusion / doubt.

OTD 356LS - Steel version of 356L. Eungsam wanted to test, how Stainless Steel case will change keyfeel. The board features 2 different finishes (Polished and Raydent), Top mount, haves custom CEM-3 PCB by KlKlKl (One of DK Saver makers), Raydent is special surface treatment, to make an alloyed textrue on metallic materials with use of electroplating. Weights 6kg

OTD 356n mk.1 - Second GB board, optimized for tactile switches. (n= non click), uses custom CEM-3 pcb by klklkl (DK) with Holtec 628A controller, still WK ansi layout, made of Aluminium. Haves deepning in bottom, to provide more unique sound with tactile switches. Case still uses cone feet structure with more rounded design and top mount, keyboard haves rubber o-ring between pcb and plate to provide bouncier typing feel and better sound. Case features unibody seamless design like on modern boards.

OTD 356c - The pre-production version of 356CL, like 356es. There is +-10 units. The first ever custom keyboard with angeled design. Project that taked long time and big money to finish it.

OTD 356CL (A.K.A (샘플) Samcle) - Finished version of 356C. Haves internal brass weight, angeled design, this board one of the most valuable pieces of keyboard history, that made the footprints of modern keyboard. Haves 2 protos, Dark Gray one and Dark Gunmetal. The main problem during production was anodizing, some boards had problems like streaking or tiger stripes. GB version offer Gunmetal Silver and Black colors. The keyboard units with ano issues were re-anodized to dark gray color, they dont have brass weight and use cone feets. Keyboard uses top mount with o-ring between pcb and plate. PCB uses Holtec 628A controller, PS/2 connectivity, PCB uses FR4 material (eungsam couldnt use CEM-3 in this board, CEM-3 ~1.0T pcb was in DGE) comes with full red aluminium plate or half pc.

OTD 356F - One of the most mysterious boards of 356 series. There is 0 info about internals, only pictures. Probably all info was on forum, which is dead and cant be open. Probably one of prototypes, built with Cherry MX Gray switches, OG cherry keycaps, OTD aluminium CNC keycap prototype,  and OTD Alps-Like short spring prototypes. Red ano, no engraving above arrow cluster, red aluminium plate. F means Female, but also can have "screwed up" (in joke way) meaning.

OTD 356CL DGE (Dark Gray Edition) (A.K.A (닥클) Duckle) - The budget version of 356CL. Probably one of the most popular otd boards, the board haves worse ano quality than 356CL, dont haves brass weight and uses cone feet design, the board is designed around idea of cheap keyboard with good performance in games. the pcb here is CEM-3 1.0mm yellow pcb with atmega16 controller, which gives bigger polling rate with special firmware by CDC. DIP switch on pcb gave possibility to change layout, like on HHKB which was considered as best gaming keyboard in korean community. the board haves only aluminium plate, black one (standard) and rare champagne anodized plate, plate is compatible with 356CL so you could also build it with 356CL pcb or 356CL half pc plate to achieve amazing typing experience.

Thanks for doing this! I'm pretty well versed in the hobby being around for about 8 years now, but beyond knowing of the OTD boards & knowing they are very desirable/rare. I had zero ideal how many boards they made, what PCBs & controllers they used, how many of each board they made, etc. This is definitely very interesting to me, will be following this thread for sure!

OTD 356n MK.2 - New version of 356N, for those who couldnt buy previous version, case haves lower quality and haves horizontal brushed pattern. The PCB is black fr4 double-layered aqua pcb with AtMega16 controller for better performance in games. Can be connected through PS/2 or modded to USB with special modification. still haves design for tactile switches, the case design is same. Also seen build with green PCB, which is cem-3 version

OTD 356A - Aftermarket case for 356CL, stacked acrylic keyboard, should be even cheaper than DGE. Stacked mount, aqua fr4 red pcb. board had several prototypes with testing different manufacturers, to have durable case material that will not crack after assembly. First proto didnt had any 356A engravings, was just painted silver. Next one was silver, next is black, latest proto was pink. Board developed by miinam and eungsam

OTD 356W - Wooden case for 356CL/356n. Small project without lots of info, haves 3 versions. The project never meant to be mass project, board created by miinam to test CNC wooden machining. The case haves cone feet structure. First samples didnt have engraving above arrow cluster. 2 wkl and 1 wk version for 356n plate

OTD 356mini v1 (A.K.A 삼미니 (sammini) - One of the most famous custom 60 percent boards, this board features sandwich o-ring mount, in this mount you have special mounting points like in isolation mount, they fit between top and bottom case, you can make board more softer by slightly unscrewing case or making it more stiffer with fully screwed case, this is the first board to use o-ring rubber band as mounting. The PCB here is CEM-3 red pcb by aqua, this is the first 60 with flex cuts (first keyboard with flexcuts overall was DK Saver), pcb haves 18.9 keyspacing instead of 19.05mm prototype pcb featured green mask. board also had GON case, that had just sandwich mount and thicker bezels, strange plate design. i will update info about it when i will have more photos and info! the board is made to be mini version of 356CL. OTD gamers really liked HHKB size, so this is MX replacement for HHKB by OTD. first version PCB dont haves white silkscreen, haves standard spacing. Mini haves USB-Mini port, but its USB compatible, the cable it used haves PS/2 end to connect it to PC. First version haves only ANSI bottom row. First proto didnt featured brass weight, had green pcb and half raw plate

356PAD - the numpad of 356 serie, offers lots of color options, uses AtMega32 controller, aluminium plate, case haves unique structure, with "unibody" seamless structure and feet. top mount, cem-3 pcb by aqua with soldered cable. you could have any color you wish, so there is a lot of strange color versions, haha Prototype featured Raw finish, and green pcb.

OTD The Cheat - Custom keyboard by Aqua (OTD). First aluminium board with 3 piece case, top mounted, haves AIKON controller and Red CEM-3 pcb (prototype featured blue cem-3 pcb). Uses cone feet structure, features only tsangan bottom row, plate is only aluminium, case haves big front height. The most affordable OTD for today's market (around 800$). As far as i know the CAD files of this keyboard were public.

OTD Koala & Brass Koala - Koala is keyboard released by Korellas, famous keyboard builder and PCB Designer. First run of koala had 10 units, the difference between standard koala and first one - is brass weight, first run had only 10 units, was available in dark gray and red color. Board features PCB with A.87 Footprint, and used plate design that have been used for long time (compatible with TGR Jane, Lyn Whale) The boards after first run aint feature brass weight, probably to make keyboard more affordable for end user. Also in Koala, we seen this famous sideprofile that you can see in your Kaze. Also found mentioning of koala wrist rest. One individual named nasby obtained OG Koala files and made his own runs, so there are some fake red and silver koalas

OTD 356CLS - Stainless steel TKL from OTD, Designed by Eungsam with help of Sir. The keyboard haves high angle (about 9 degrees), brass weight, and powdercoat finish. Weights 6.2kg, uses unified OTD PCB (like in 360c, 356.2, 456gt), probably haves same plate design. Made as gift, around 20 units.

OTD 356.2 - Refined version of 356cl, uses unified plate and pcb, haves outer brass weight. The board was limited only to special group of people with big amount of forum credit and big LVL, like on KBDmania. To earn points you should be active and participate in GB's. Board had several prototypes, V2.1 prototype haves some cnc and finishing mistakes, like error on cable hole, strange markings on F-row keys, strange black dots over alu, haves anodized teal weight. Also features prototype of unified pcb. Second known prototype haves Dark Gray anodization, belongs to stolenweapon. also heard that comi5v haves one prototype. Also had ALPS pcb as extra option, with stainless steel plate.

the qty breakdown for the 356.2, by region, is also a bit strange? these boards get traded/sold privately so I'm not sure how one can sum this up by region.

OTD 360C/360corsa - Last release from OTD, was made in 2013, designed by Eungsam, iconic piece of keyboard design and true grail, classic round proportions, iconic side profile, go-through weight, engraving above arrows. one interesting feature in 360c is the weight, if you use clicky switches you can delete the weight and have better sound with clicky switches. This type of weight is more expensive to manufacture but fulfills need of inner weight. Board uses unified plate and pcb, if you were 356.2 owner you could add half pc plate to it and have different feel, also supports A356 controller by GON. There is one unit in gunmetal silver color, owned by coookiecurls.
