Looking at this website I feel that its owner is fully unaware of geekhack. I wonder if he ever bothered to pull a key cap to see what switches are underneath, or cared about double shots.

It's like msiegel discovered a new continent and found a fairly developed civilization which follows the keyboard collection cult, but did not yet invent the key cap puller.

I suggest that this new continent should be called Msiegelia.

@clickclack: Make some glass-keycaps. Maybe we can trick him in trading his older keyboards against them;-)

I had no idea that the German computer QWERTZ layout dates to original IBM PC at least. These IBM folks were thorough. The only significant change since then was the Esc key moving from the top left corner of the alphanumeric block. Apple just added @/pound there, while IBM chose ^ (moved away from Shift-#) / ° and changed Shift-# to apostrophe '.

No, it's definitely an infinity symbol. The Apple Extended I has one in the same place.

I know the intention of this is to show how much keyboards have advanced, but I can't help but think the opposite.

Where's the Brainstorm terminal? You mean two shelves below the Lisa 2? Maybe. I'd need to see another angle. (..or that handy "enhancement" feature in Blade Runner)

It's a pretty rounded "box". My French Canadian AEK has a square box with an X through it - and it doesn't look like infinity. It's definitely the "Clear" function, but on my other four old Mac keyboards, it just says "clear".

(I assume you press the "suppr" button when you want your supper and the "aide" button if you've got AIDS.)

Edit: Now that I've looked at the pictures again, I see the symbols are the same. OK, no infinity then. (I'm infinitely disappointed)

I hate the dotted arrows. I always think I scrubbed too hard when cleaning the keyboard and rubbed off part of the labels.

Those are speed lines. They emphasize motion, so you don't accidentally think that pressing them will type the symbols ←↓→ and ↑.
