[IC] Bella Premium Split Keyboard
« on: Thu, 23 October 2025, 04:56:45 »
Introduction
Hello, this is Matthew from Tune Lab
We based on China

The Problem & The Vision

For over a year in the split keyboard community, I’ve constantly enjoyed the comfort of split ergonomics.
However, the custom world often overlooks this segment: most splits remain 3d-printed,
lacking the premium design and aspiration seen in high-end custom keyboards

My partner and I decided to change this. Our goal was to create the most perfect split keyboard—
one that is both an aesthetic centerpiece and a functional tool.
We aim to elevate the split keyboard experience and inspire newcomers to the hobby

The Solution: Bella's Core Advantages

Bella is designed to meet three non-negotiable ideals, built on the foundation of the Altair and Lily58 layouts:

- Aesthetic Design & Ergonomics: Features an exquisite case design combined with the superior comfort of a
Columnar Layout. (The learning curve for the columnar layout is much lower than you might think!)

- Unmatched Battery Life: We use the same 950mah batteries (one per side), paired with the ZMK wireless solution.
This provides a significant improvement, with battery life reaching up to 4 months!

- Versatility & Support: Supports 5° and 7° Tenting Modes via extended feet,
with perfectly matched wrist rests available for both angles.

EC Customization

Bella takes it further by being tailored for EC enthusiasts. We are proud to partner with MetaKeebs
to exclusively provide a custom, high-performance EC PCB and all accessory support
Guaranteeing a premium, highly customizable EC typing experience.

Design

The Bella set is composed of up to 10 intricately connected parts.
Each component is the result of our careful refinement, a perfect
fusion of functionality and aesthetics.

Magnetic Weight
On the back of the Bella, we have a very eye-catching weight. While designing the Bella,
we felt quite lost. It is not easy to achieve a beautiful weight design on such a small back surface,
especially considering that the Bella is not a simple rectangle like a regular keyboard;
it has many curved surfaces designed for ergonomics. Ultimately, we decided to use a
magnetic weight engraved with streamlined patterns, making the entire back of the keyboard look both clean and beautiful

High-Transparency Window

After finalizing the weight design, we were faced with two problems. One was that
even with a weight on the back, it still did not look refined enough, right?
The second was that we wondered how wireless signals would transmit through
a fully aluminum wireless split keyboard—a big problem. A conventional fully enclosed aluminum kit
would certainly impede signal transfer, leading to unstable signals. After combining these two issues,
we suddenly had a flash of inspiration: we could totally create a window design similar to the Dolice!

So, we opened a high-transparency acrylic window at the location of the Bluetooth master chip,
and thoughtfully added a frame as a decoration for this window. In this way, the problems of
signal transmission and design were both solved! In my opinion, this is the optimal solution.

Hidden Screw Design and Special Feet

To make the entire keyboard look cleaner, we decided from the outset that we would not have any
visible screws on the surface of the entire keyboard. This helps the entire board appear more concise.
Therefore, we custom-designed a special shape of keyboard feet to conceal the four screws on the bottom.

Split Tenting Mode

We customized a screw-like raised feet design, which allows for low-cost switching between
different tilt angles. We have two specifications: 5∘ and 7∘ tenting angles.

We also offer wrist rests corresponding to these two angles.
This allows the frontal aesthetics to look more appealing!
They appear as if they are a seamless, integrated piece
