GMK BAIKAL
GMK BAIKAL is a historically grounded keycap set inspired by Lake Baikal—its depth, its cliffs, and the quiet traces of human presence along its shores. Deep navy alphas are the lake’s vast water: heavy, still, and almost endless. Stone-grey mods echo the surrounding rock formations, like a shoreline cut from basalt. Sublegends are inspired by the Olkhon–Yenisei tradition (within the broader Old Turkic runic sphere) and have been carefully adapted for production-friendly line weights and keycap legibility—so the script feels carved, not printed. The novelties reference documented Baikal-area petroglyph motifs, re-drawn into clean, consistent silhouettes—small marks that read like echoes from the cliffs. I’m also preparing a short English booklet/insert with context and references, so the set stays respectful to its sources while inviting people to explore the story behind it.
