INPIRATION



This keyboard is a dedicated hardware piece custom-built by Sieb & Meyer AG for the early CNC 82.00 and 84.00 control systems.
It encapsulates the distinct industrial aesthetic of the precision machining industry from the 1990s to the early 2000s.
As the core operator interface of its era, it was widely deployed on world-class PCB drilling machines, including legendary brands like Excellon and Schmoll.


COLOURS

Retro S.M AG carries forward the iconic color palette of the Retro series.
By referencing original vintage keycap samples for color tuning, we’ve captured the subtle, natural oxidation that occurs over the decades.
By weaving these “traces of time” into the design, the set achieves a more profound and authentic vintage aesthetic.

It’d be dope if there were a way to give unique colors or patterns or whatever to the numpad keys, so that you could use them as a visually alternate numrow (in addition to just having the number legend) or some kind of alert row. It’d give some additional value to the numpad kit while taking advantage of PBS’s uniform profile.
