The sixth design from ORI CLUB

ORI 870 — Design Notes
This time around, I spent most of the process refining rather than reinventing—shaping the design language that Ori will carry forward.
With the 870, I challenged myself to design with more restraint: something more practical, more daily. But minimalism is never the easier path—when there's nothing left to hide behind, every decision has to stand on its own.
In the design process, from the very beginning—even when just thinking about form—I had countless shapes come to mind. I spent the majority of my time narrowing them down, searching for the one form that truly resonated with me. I believe that was the hardest part of this entire design.
What I've always wanted to give the user is simple: a keyboard that feels good to type on every single day, and quietly inspires along the way.

The prototype is currently in progress and is being optimized for manufacturing.

Rendered images of the three options will be created for the prototype.

This design has been developed to accommodate a variety of materials, so a polycarbonate (PC) version could certainly be produced in the future—should there be sufficient interest.

As always, we continue to welcome feedback on this design and appreciate all suggestions.

I’ll share additional photos and/or sound test videos if they become available in the future.

Can I just say that I'm happy there is at least something on the top case that makes it stand out a little from every other sleeper TKL
