Glorious Condition Model M CONVERTED to USB
« on: Sat, 04 December 2010, 10:01:41 »
Hello everyone,

In the spirit of holiday gift giving, perhaps someone would be interested in this absolutely cherry condition Model M which I have converted to USB. Many loved ones who would enjoy a Model M may not have an adapter or may just want something simple. I took the Blue Cube PS2/USB adapter and internalized it.

The Keyboard now has an extra long USB cable seamlessly integrated into it. It looks as if it was always USB, like a Unicomp, but it once was PS2.

IN ADDITION, I have cleaned the keyboard meticulously and it is in absolutely glorious condition.

Please see attached images. If you'd like to make an offer, just keep in mind that it already has the Blue Cube and the work that went into cleaning and converting.

Thanks for your consideration,

ML

Oh, that reminds me. I didn't shrink the adapter or the USB cable. So if you wanted to swap out the USB cable for a smaller one or a different one--or if you wanted to take out the Blue Cube for some reason--it's as easy as opening it up.

On the other hand, I did really solid work, so if you give it to grandma for Christmas, it will work forever without EVER opening it up.

1) Stop tooting your own horn, it's not attractive.

2) Have you tested it fully?

1) Why say that? Why are you acting that way?

2) I have tested it. What is your definition of "Fully"?

Don't make it worse for yourself; they already think you're 13.  At least you didn't say 32. Then, you would have looked as bad as I do.

From the sounds of it, they don't allow discussion at all.  It seems like everything gets you in trouble there.

Welcome to Geekhack. Oh, look, cookies!

Cookies?  Are they Oreos?  I like Oreos; they're like little, chocolate sammiches.  What switch would you say feels most like an Oreo?  I mean, I would say Cherry browns, because they're both brown, but then, I think they might be closer to blues because the cookie snaps when you press on it and it's nice and creamy in the middle.  I like things that are moist and creamy when you spread them apart.

I'm interested in buying the keyboard. Can you ship it to Israel? How much money are we talking about here?
